Tony and Tatiana in Ban Jelacic Square. This is the central square of Zagreb, located in the downtown pedestrian zone. The square is named after Josip Jelacic (1801-1859) who was ban (or governor) of Croatia between 1848 and 1859. He is credited with advancing the cause of Croatian statehood. A large statue of Jelacic on horseback can be seen in the background.

Approaching Mostar’s famous Old Bridge (Stari Most). Construction of the original bridge began in 1557 and it was completed approximately 10 years later. On its completion it was the widest man-made arch in the world.

Outside King Nikola’s Palace. The palace was built in 1885 close to the seashore. The palace was a present from King Nikola to his daughter Princess Zorka and his son-in-law Prince Petar Karadordevic.

Outside the Opera House (also known as the Palace of Culture) in central Tirana, at the side of Skanderbeg Square. A café and shops are situated along the front.
Ethem Bey Mosque, next to Skanderbeg Square. Construction was started in 1789 by Molla Bey and it was finished in 1823 by his son Haxhi Ethem Bey.

The corner of the Carondelet Palace seen from Independence Square. The Carondelet Palace (also known as the Palace of the Government) is the seat of the government of Ecuador and home to the president. The present palace was constructed in the late-18th and early-19th centuries in neo-classical style.
