Canaima National Park is located near Santa Elena de Uairén, La Gran Sabana Region, Bolívar State, on the Venezuela-Brazil border, The park’s area is 30,000 square kilometres, (12,000 sq mi). It was established on 12th June 1962 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Organised guided trips to Canaima and Angel Falls are cheapest from Ciudad Bolivar for a three day – two night expedition – all food, transport and accommodation included.
Georgetown, capital and largest city of Guyana. A former British colony, independent since 1966. Modern Guyana is a country on the north coast of South America, it is bordered to the east by Suriname, to the south and south-west by Brazil, to the west by Venezuela and on the north by the Atlantic Ocean.

Outside St George’s Cathedral. This Anglican cathedral is one of the tallest wooden churches in the world,
Boa Vista lies 220 km (136 miles) from Brazil’s northern border with Venezuela. Roads connect with the cities of Lethem, Guyana and Santa Elena de Uairén, Venezuela.
