My Books
I have written and published three eBooks about my world adventures.
My eBooks are travel biographies of the observations and experiences of a totally blind and partially deaf man as he travels independently around the world having exciting adventures. The most recent volume, Seeing a Slice of Southern Africa My Way, published 31 December 2020, is a journey of continued self-discovery as I plot my way from multi-cultural South Africa with its complex society, to Malawi, with its picturesque and peaceful nature. This third book takes the reader through parts of Southern Africa, and offers a brief glimpse into a little of Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Blog post / A Week in Austria (27th October 2018)
Tatiana and I have just spent a delightful week in Austria. First in Vienna where we attended the TEDx Vienna conference on Simplexity, where I gave a splendid talk on travelling blind. Tatiana came for the food! Then we headed to Graz, Austria’s second largest city in terms of population. Personally, I found it rather quiet. The 15th century cathedral was interesting and we listened to the choonful glockenspiel, chine its 24 bells three times daily. Blog post / Still in Palermo! (1st October 2018)
I’ve been in Palermo, capital of Sicily, the large island off the boot of Italy for 6 days now, waiting for a ferry to Tunisia! I was supposed to leave on Saturday, but missed the boat, getting lost whilst attempting to find a bus stop on a quiet street in the centre and struggling because of not possessing any Italian! Therefor I’ve spent the last two days moving from one small hostel on Via Lincoln to a large property on the other side of the city on Via Dante!

More whales (15th August 2018)
This is my last video of humpback whales swimming and blowing in waters off Ilulissat, northwest Greenland, a truly magical experience. A reason for anyone to fly to Greenland.
Despite the noise of the engine, whales breaching can clearly be heard and, hopefully, seen! The sound of humpback whales blowing is magnificent.
More whales and now less sounds, no boat engine and no planes, pure bliss, apart from occasional cameras and slight commentary.

Tony undertaking a 47 m bungee jump at Sentosa Island, Singapore on 15th June 2018. This was Tony’s 17th jump! He’s now bungeed on every populated continent in the world.
