The Green School, Central Bali

The Green School is a world famous school, renowned for offering an alternative more environmental and open-minded education to children of international backgrounds. Some scholarships are offered to children from Indonesia.

Pontianak, West Kalimantan
Pontianak is located on Borneo, the third largest island in the world geographically.

Tony with Dwi and Eric inside the Equator Monument. Pontianak is the largest city that sits right on the Equator and this monument marks that invisible line. The original monument, built in 1928 out of wood and metal, can be seen in the middle. This is now enclosed by a larger structure. In fact, this no longer marks the true location, because the land has shifted since the monument was built, and the actual line of the Equator is now outside the building. The monument is 3 kilometres (2 miles) from the city centre.
